I am not particularly good at writing food reviews. I have tried many times but my thoughts about the magnificence of a dining experience, or otherwise, never seem to translate well into type. However, I feel moved to at least acknowledge Kazuya because it is the second time I have been there in a few months and last night, again, I was stunned by the brilliance of the food at this new Auckland restaurant. Below are some pictures of the food we had as part of the 5 course tasting menu. If you have never been to this place, you really must. Chef Kazuya is producing some of the most creative, interesting, and delicious food I have ever had. It was a pleasure last night to spend time with good friends who love food and watch the delight in their faces with each course.
When you put this amazing food together with some of the best restaurant service I have ever experienced, you have an amazing experience every time! Kazuya Yamauchi is producing what I would suggest is one of Auckland's best dining experiences. The man is a genius, this I am totally convinced of.
